Teen Girl Was Stabbed in Neck in Northwest England After Belfast Attack
Authorities said officers were called to the scene in Brierfield, Lancashire, after receiving reports that a teenager had been attacked. A 30-year-old man was later arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
Video footage circulating online appears to show a suspect approaching the girl from behind before stabbing her twice in the neck, though police have not formally verified the footage.
Officials stated that the victim’s injuries were serious but not life-threatening. She received medical treatment at hospital and has since been discharged to continue recovering at home.
Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the attack.
