Trump Stresses Importance of Upcoming China Visit Ahead of Talks with Xi
(MENAFN) US President Donald Trump has highlighted the importance of his planned visit to China later this month, where he is expected to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Speaking at a small business summit at the White House on Monday, Trump described the technological competition between the United States and China as both competitive and amicable in tone.
"We're leading China in AI. And I'm going to go see President Xi in two weeks. I look forward to that… We have very friendly competition, but it'll be actually a very important trip," Trump said.
His remarks come as both countries continue to compete in key technological sectors, particularly artificial intelligence, while maintaining ongoing diplomatic engagement at high levels.
