Pakistan Intercepts Afghan Drones, Four People Were Injured

(MENAFN) The Pakistani military reported on Saturday that several makeshift Afghan drones were intercepted in three separate locations across the country, resulting in at least four injuries, including two children.

According to a military statement, the "Afghan Taliban" launched the drones on Friday “to harass the people of Pakistan.” The devices were successfully neutralized using both soft- and hard-kill measures and did not reach their intended targets.

The injured children were in Quetta, located in the southwestern province of Balochistan, while a civilian in Kohat district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and another in the garrison city of Rawalpindi, near Islamabad, were also hurt.

“These attacks were aimed at inducing fear among the public and remind us of the terrorist mindset that drives the Afghan Taliban. On one hand, the Afghan Taliban project victimhood to garner global sympathy, while on the other hand they actively target civilians through their terrorist proxies and drones,” the military said.

Authorities in Islamabad stated that the “Ghazab-lil-Haq” operation will continue until the Afghan Taliban address Pakistan’s core security concerns.

There has been no response from Kabul regarding the Pakistani statement.
