Erdogan Praises National Basketball Team
(MENAFN) Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan applauded the national men’s basketball squad on Friday for progressing to the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 championship game.
“I wholeheartedly congratulate our National Men’s Basketball Team for defeating Greece in the semifinals with an outstanding performance and securing a place in the final,” he expressed on the Turkish social media platform, NSocial.
"May God guide you in the final, and may your efforts be crowned with the championship.”
Türkiye easily dominated Greece with a 94-68 victory in the Latvian capital, Riga, guaranteeing their spot in the final scheduled for Sunday.
